How to make moves in words with friends

Just like scrabble, the main aim of this game is to form words through letters. The letters on the letter rack can be used for this word formation. When forming words, make sure the word is at least two letters long. Before learning how to make moves in this word game, you have to understand the game's basics.

These includes: 

Letter rack: when you start up the game, you have to have seven letter tiles on the rack. The number of tiles you play is the same number of tiles you will get.

Game board: On each game board are 15 x 15 grids on 225 spaces.

Tile bag: There are 104 letter tiles in a tile bag. Each player is expected to take seven tiles in the first round till the 104 tiles finish. 

Here are the games moves you should know: 

When playing, the first round of words you are to play must include a center space. The first word that is played gets you a double-word score. Also, the center space is distinguished with a plus sign. Make sure you join each new words you create with at least one letter that is on the board already.

Scoring rules

Bonus spaces

In words with friends, we have four types of bonus spaces. They include:

Double word: Here, the score on the word is doubled.

Double letter: Here, the value on the single-letter tile doubles.

Triple word: The score is tripled on the entire word.

Triple letter: Here, the score is tripled on the value of a letter tile.

Note: Bonus spaces can be combined to get more points.

Letter Values

All the letter found in words with friends has a point value attached to them. Letters like X and Q have more points than T and E. The letters that are difficult to form are worth more points than those that are not.

Multiple Words

In words with friends rules, every word formed is awarded points including words whose letter is repeated. For instance, if you form a word horizontally and vertically at the same time, you will get points for both. The act of forming words in two places is called using hooks. Hooks get you more points.
