Introduction to The Father’s Family
Dear friend of the Father:
We invite you to become part of the most important Trinitarian movement of our time, The Father's Family.
There is a missing person in our lives.
It is the Father. God our Father.
We might be faithful Christians who have committed our lives to Jesus. Or who believe ourselves to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
But all too often we sense the presence of an absence.
The Father.
Yes, we have Jesus. Yes, we have the Holy Spirit. But Jesus came to testify to the Father. And the Holy Spirit cries out “Abba Father” from within our hearts.
We need to know and love the Father.
Of course, we can know the Father only through the Son, Jesus. And we can love the Father only through the Spirit of the Father and the Son.
But to know and love the Father, we have to find him. For it is only with the Father that our Christian life can be complete.
Finding the Father means discovering, honoring and serving the infinite Lover from whom all things come and to whom all things go.
Finding the Father means falling in love with him and consecrating ourselves to him. It means embracing the Promises he has made to us and trusting him to keep his Word. It means being flooded with blessings and graces and miracles. Constantly. Super-abundantly.
The discovery of the Father is the discovery of God in his innermost reality – God the Trinity. We come to the Father through the incarnate Son in the Holy Spirit. The Son makes us his adoptive brothers and sisters and the Holy Spirit seals us as children of the Father.
The Father’s Family seeks to bring us home to the Promised Land of the Father. For, as his children, we are his heirs. We are called to inherit his treasures here on earth and in eternity. All we have to do is claim what he has bestowed on us.
So what does it mean to “join” The Father’s Family and why should we do this? In the exhibits below we lay out the rationale for the existence of The Father Family, the top ten reasons why we should become a part of the Family, the eight-fold path to the Father (the goals of the Family) and what it means to be a member.
On the face of it, it should be obvious that the absence of a feast of the Father leaves a vacuum. After all we have a feast in honor of the Son’s interaction with humanity (Christmas) and one in honor of the descent of the Holy Spirit (Pentecost). But no such honor is paid to the Father who “so loved the world” that he sent his Son for our salvation and his Spirit for our sanctification.
In the first Christian millennium, we came to know more about the Father’s Son. In the second, we grew in our understanding of the Father’s Spirit. Now in this third millennium we need to discover to the fullest the Father from whom all things come.
This is the moment of which Jesus said: “But the hour is coming, and is now here, when true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and truth.” (John 4:23).
The Father’s Family is the movement of this “hour” when we “will worship the Father in Spirit and truth.”
To join The Father’s Family, we sign up at ourfathersfamily.com. We then create a new chapter of the Family to which we invite our friends or simply join a pre-existing chapter in our region.
By signing up, we commit ourselves to working toward the eight goals of the Family, to attending a monthly meeting of your chapter/sub-group of the Family when possible, either virtually or in person, to consecrating ourselves to the Father and to celebrating the Feast of the Father every first Sunday of August. Each monthly meeting will be an explosion of love and grace.
The Father’s Family draws us into a constant conversation with the Father and offers us the continual fulfillment of all his Promises to us, his beloved children.
So let the journey begin. Guided by his Spirit, led by his Son, let us enter our Father’s Home forever as members of his Family. “You are no longer strangers and sojourners, but you are fellow citizens with the holy ones and members of the household of God.” (Ephesians 2:19).

Exhibit 1 – Why The Father’s Family Exists
The Father’s Family exists to make the human family the family of Abba Our Father. We seek to achieve this purpose by knowing, loving, honoring and serving the Father and consecrating ourselves to the Father both individually and collectively.
We know the existence of The Father’s Family is required because of the greatest revolution in human history. This was the revelation made by Jesus of Nazareth that there is a Creator of all things, that this Creator, God, is “our” Father, that the purpose of life is to become children of the Father, our hearts one with the divine Heart, and that we are called to live from this moment forward in the Kingdom of the Father.
Jesus also revealed that there are Three Persons in the One Godhead – the infinite Lover (the Father), the infinite Beloved (the Son – and Jesus is the Son Incarnate) and the infinite co-Beloved (the Spirit of Father and Son). We are able to become children of the Father because of the incarnation and redemptive death of the Son and the subsequent indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
Sadly, the freshness and real-world immediacy, the all-pervasive presence and transformational power of the Father revealed by Jesus are today rarely recognized.
The Christian calendar has Christmas and Easter, which honors the Son sacrificial death for the human race. It has Pentecost, which celebrates the descent of the Holy Spirit in our midst. But it has no commemoration of the Father’s acts on behalf of humanity – his creation of the world and humanity and his sending of the Son and the Spirit to bring us back to him. Among Christians we hear about Jesus and the Holy Spirit but very little about the Father who “so loved” us as to send his Son and his Spirit for our salvation and sanctification.
This is a tragedy because the Father is the Source and Goal of creation. It is a tragedy because the purpose of the salvific saga is to become children of the Father. The absence of the Father deprives us of the Power and the Protection, the Peace and the Joy of his Kingdom.
The Father’s Family fills this gaping hole in authentic Christian life by creating a universal awareness of the Father revealed by Jesus and proclaimed by the Holy Spirit. It urges our consecration to the Father, celebrates an annual feast in his honor and unleashes the infinite Power of the Father in our lives. The Father’s Family is an opportunity to make our own personal contribution to salvation history.
Exhibit 2 – Top Ten Reasons for Joining The Father’s Family
To become a “member” of The Father’s Family literally means accepting and affirming the Father’s gift to us of being his child and heir and also the attendant covenants and promises. Membership in The Father’s Family helps fulfill the purpose of our lives. We have been created to know, love, honor and serve our Father through his Son, our Savior, in his Spirit, our Sanctifier. The Family exists strictly to perform these acts through its members, the children of the Father. Faithful members thereby fulfill the mission for which they were created.
Through the Family, we make our own personal contribution to the divine plan in history. The first Christian millennium was the age in which we discovered the Son. The second was the age in which we discovered the Spirit. Now in this third millennium, humankind is poised to discover the Father celebrating a Feast in his honor and consecrating ourselves to him. “‘In an acceptable time I heard you, and on the day of salvation I helped you.’ Behold, now is a very acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” (2 Corinthians 6:2).
The work we do at the Family has an eternal effect because it is an effect on our souls and the souls with whom we interact. The time we spend on the Family is truly the time that brings the greatest Return on Investment on all our actions here on earth. “By their fruits you will know them.” (Matthew 7:16)
Our participation in the Family is a manifestation of our love for our family, our friends and humankind. Through the Family, we draw everyone we know to salvation and sanctification.
The Family is a vehicle of repentance and reparation for all the sins of our life.
Through the Family, we participate in the life of the Holy Trinity and discover the Father every day. The Family is a path of continual conversion and transformation.
The Family provides us with protection from the Evil One and mishaps of every kind.
The Family will be a source of singular graces and blessings for us and our family.
As soon as we join the Family, all our needs and wants are turned over to the Father who will meet them for us. “Seek first the kingdom [of God] and his righteousness, and all these things will be given you besides,” (Matthew 6:33). Miracles are the order of the day.
Through the Family, we reconnect with creation and drink deeply of the Glory of God.
